A graduate of Berklee College of Music and Tama-Do Academy (sound-therapy), François-Marie Dru is a musician and composer with the group FM LAETI and the association La Maison Rose. Since 2010, he has devoted himself to music therapy, offering treatments and training in the therapeutic power of sound. From 2017 to 2021, he was head of the music therapy department at the Institut Rafaël (cancer center). He is the author of the book “Tout est vibration, découvrez les pouvoirs du son”, published by Leduc. As a music therapist, he bases his diagnoses and treatments on harmony. In his search for the meaning, significance and benefits of harmonious balance, he helps his patients meet the psycho-spiritual challenges facing every human being: loving oneself, transcending fears and conquering inner freedom.
All beings have vital rhythms induced by those of planet Earth. Do they change over time? Does high-dose digitized life play a role in human energy regulation or disinhibition? Many psychiatric pathologies express a surplus of energy, in contrast to severe depression, where every step costs, as if vital energy were no longer present. Increasingly, we take into account the patient as a whole. In the case of cancer, this certainly includes its progression, but also how the patient feels, his energy and his mind. Could it be that what patients have always called the “good doctor” is the one with a particular therapeutic impulse? Because if therapy counts, the way it is approached also plays a role.
