Léa Griton-Noël

Léa Griton-Noël has a PhD in astrophysics, is a lecturer at Sorbonne University and a researcher specializing in solar system plasma physics at LESIA, a laboratory of the Paris-PSL Observatory. She is a member of the team associated with the BepiColombo mission, a European-Japanese probe scheduled to reach Mercury in late 2025 to explore its geology, magnetic field and environment. Her research is also focused on the preparation of a mission to explore Uranus in 2044… at the earliest. Very active in promoting scientific culture, she has created a board game to present the challenges of the Solar Orbiter mission to the general public (published by Cnes in 2022) and recently published “En quête de planètes” (Quanto), a 240-page “pop science” book with no equations – but a few jokes – about exploring the Solar System today and the day after tomorrow.
