Originally from London and resident in France since 2012, Lydia Shelley joined the Quatuor Voce in 2013. For eighteen years, the Quatuor Voce has cultivated their idea of the string quartet as polymorphous and adventurous. From the Philarmonie de Paris to Tokyo’s Oji Hall, from London’s Wigmore Hall to Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, their curiosity leads them to experiment with multiple performance forms and to defend the great pieces of the classical repertoire. Their numerous recordings have been praised by the international press, including The Strad, Télérama and Diapason. In 2021, the Quatuor Voce will become ensemble-in-residence at the HEM-Geneva to teach string quartet.
