Justina Zajančauskaitė studied violin at the National School of the Arts and then at the Lithuanian Academy of Music in Vilnius in the class of Professor Jurgis Dvarionas, before entering the class of Boris Garlitsky at the CNSM in Paris. She then completed a Master’s degree in Olivier Charlier’s class. She is the winner of numerous international prizes: Special Prize at the Jasha Heifetz International Competition, 2nd Prize at the A. Glazounov International Competition, Grand Prix of the International Music Competition in Paris. Glazounov International Competition, Grand Prize in the B. Dvarionas Competition… She is a laureate of the Fondation Internationale Nadia et Lili Boulanger and of the Fondation pour la Vocation. A curious musician, she is passionately committed to the chamber music repertoire, notably with the Élysée String Quartet, with whom she was first violin for seven years and with whom she recorded five critically acclaimed albums, as well as with the duo formed with her pianist sister, with whom she gives numerous concerts. Symphonic music holds a special place in her musical life, and since 2021 she has been a member of the Orchestre National d’Ile de France. Justina also founded a classical music festival in Lithuania in 2007: the Rokiskio Festivalis, whose 15th edition will take place next summer.
