Conference: What impact does the human factor have on the energy transition?

The Human Factor is at the heart of both current issues and truly sustainable solutions for energy transitions. By default, the human brain operates in automatic mode, focusing on the known and a restricted space-time. However, we do possess considerable capacity to think, act and feel “broadly”, in terms of both time and space. But the conditions required to mobilize these resources more universally and in a desirable way are multiple, if not complex to implement, at every stage of life and at individual, collective and organizational levels. This is why, following the example of the IPCC, an international, trans-disciplinary collective of behavioral scientists – the GIECO – has been set up to produce a synthesis (exhaustive, periodic and freely accessible) of fundamental and applied knowledge (35 disciplines) on the Human Factor, with a view to supporting all Transitions.
