Victor Cesca

Raised by movie-loving parents, I spent my childhood with a camcorder in my hand, making short films with whatever means I had at my disposal. From war movies to action comedies to zombie invasions, I enjoyed filming my hometown from every angle, and my friends were not spared. After graduating from high school, I embarked on film studies in Nantes, where I made several films to try out different genres and find my own. I then wrote and directed several short films, trying to infuse them with my own universe. After Fortissimo, which ended its run at festivals, I continued to develop projects, fighting to keep making the kind of films I like: genre films that are popular and entertaining. Even if that sometimes means going independent and having to fend for myself. After all, as Peter Jackson says, “Pain is temporary; film is forever.”
