Sylvain Jarry

Born in 1981, Sylvain Jarry began playing the saxophone at the age of 8 with Guy Demarle, who passed on his passion for music to him. He continued his training at the CRR in Cergy (in Jean-Yves Fourmeau’s class), where he obtained his DEM before enriching his training with Vincent David and Jean-Denis Michat in Versailles and Lyon. A musician with insatiable curiosity, he quickly learned jazz and many instruments, participating in numerous workshops and big bands while learning the cello. He enjoys performing on contemporary music stages on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, clarinet, and trombone! Passionate about orchestras, he joined the Musique des Equipages de la Flotte de Brest before creating the Orchestre d’Harmonie Français in 2010 and obtaining his DEM in Orchestral Conducting at the CRD in Evry in 2012. Sylvain has already performed with various orchestras, such as the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, and the Ensemble Matheus. He also currently conducts the Olivier Messiaen Conservatory in Champigny-sur-Marne (94) and the Conservatory of Issy-Vanves (92).
