Salle Proudhon
Deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine Pour la Science, in charge of quarterly special issues. For over 20 years, I have been the “Art & Science” columnist for the monthly magazine Pour la Science and have published three books: Mon petit précis de sciences (for children), Pollock, Turner, Van Gogh, Vermeer… et la science, and Tolkien et les Sciences (co-edited with Roland Lehoucq and Jean-Sébastien Steyer).
Can you paint a portrait of a second? Represent a four-dimensional object or mathematical series? Show the spin of particles? Illustrate the photocatalysis of oxidation-reduction using ruthenium? Highlight the ravages of mining? We will answer these questions and many others by exploring various works of art through the eyes of a scientist.
