Librairie Eyrolles and Eyrolles.com are services of Groupe Eyrolles S.A. The Eyrolles.com online bookshop opened in July 1999. The Eyrolles Group has been present on the Internet since 1997, with websites dedicated to its activities as a distributor and publisher, and soon made it possible to order books from its collection via these sites. In 1999, the group decided to open a full-fledged e-commerce site, drawing on the expertise of its Paris-based specialist bookshop and its distance-selling structure (EyrollesPro, formerly Dlivres). The Eyrolles.com site was launched in July of the same year, with the first department being IT. In 2000, the Enterprise-Management and Construction departments were added to the site, and partnerships were set up with a number of sites positioned in these sectors. Since then, numerous departments have been added, in line with developments in the bookselling business and new French publishing themes.
