Professor of Semiotics

Anne Beyaert-Geslin is a professor of semiotics (Information and Communication Sciences) at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne. She is president of the French Association of Semiotics (AFS) and vice-president of the International Association of Visual Semiotics (AISV). Qualified in the 7th, 71st and 18th sections of the National Council of Universities, she has directed the CeReS (EA 3638-Centre de recherches sémiotiques) at the University of Limoges and the MICA laboratory (EA4426-Mediations, information, communication, arts) at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne. She is currently in charge of the IDEM axis (Images, design, spaces, mediations) of the MICA laboratory and in charge of the Master's degree in Semiology and Communication: Transitions of Worlds. She has coordinated 22 dossiers and collective works, published 160 articles and chapters as well as 5 books: L'image préoccupée, Hermès-Lavoisier, 2009; Sémiotique du design, PUF, 2012 (Semiotica del design, ETS, 2017); Sémiotique des objets.
