Researcher - Paleontologist
Pascal Tassy is emeritus professor at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. As a paleontologist his interest was on mammal evolution and more precisely elephants and their relatives. His paleontological fieldwork took place in various places such as Northern Pyrénées (France), Pakistan, Kenya, and Bulgaria. He his among the paleontologists who in the 1970s raved on cladistic methodology and tried to renew phylogenetics.
