Conference: Is the time for cyber-security accelerating?

Moving digital services into the cloud and increasing connectivity, both for autonomous cars and for previously isolated infrastructures, are two examples of digital transformation. This transformation is underway. Connectivity is now very strong worldwide. The balance of power with attackers has changed. We have to adapt. Until now, cryptographers designed mechanisms to protect the confidentiality or integrity of data based on mathematics and the state of the art of attacks, which evolved in step with scientific publications. Security experts built fixed architectures and detected attacks based on known signatures, applying available updates from time to time. Nowadays, cybersecurity experts must combine their expertise, aiming for pragmatic continuous improvement, collaborative risk management and agility at all levels of design. It is becoming essential to be able to detect a new attack, and quickly decide on the most appropriate reaction to adopt. How can we adapt to this new relationship with time, and what impact does it have on the design of secure systems?
