Conference: Does going faster save time?

Our daily lives seem to revolve around ubiquitous accelerations. Automated transport, automatic proofreaders, search engines, notifications… We’re used to finding out the result of a crucial election in real time, or logging on so as not to miss the next live goal in a thriller. Access to information is so fast that the distance between us and events in the present seems to be fading, and the time between us and events in the near future seems to be shrinking. Digital technology even proposes to speed up our private lives by organizing romantic encounters at the click of a button! But does going faster really save us time? This is the question that six students will take time to discuss during this round table. Their aim will be to highlight the relationship between millenials and today’s fast-paced society.
