At the crossroads of earth, life and human sciences, the Muséum has been dedicated to nature and its relationship with humankind for almost 400 years. Rich in history and at the heart of current affairs, the Museum is also working for the future… Today, a multitude of professions coexist at the Museum. Teacher-researchers seeking knowledge to advance science, taxidermists dedicated to restoring strength, movement and expression to a collection specimen, gardeners rising to the challenge of making plants from different climates cohabit in the Alpine garden, electricians, carpenters, receptionists, veterinarians, museologists… All are at the service of the same passion and a single goal: to better understand and value nature in order to better preserve it.
